Could we get stinkier?

So, the store closed early yesterday- Wednesday at 3pm. SOrry for the lack of warning but after picking Kelly up from school at 2:40, I stopped at the gas station to fill the car up and managed to pour gas all over my pants. I smelled so bad, I was gagging- so we all drove home with the windows down (while it was 40 degrees outside) and that was the end of the work day.

Now, here's what happened earlier in the day:

I made the mistake of telling Tyler to pick up the "balls" of yarn. He heard the word balls and that was it. Balls in his 2 year old head are for throwing so he threw and threw and threw the yarn till Mommy lost it. Cute but only amusing till the balls came partially unraveled. Why does he choose to do this only with the expensive yarn?


Oh, I finished the Lornas Laces earflap hat- just in time for this week's cold spell and the lovely 3-5 inches of snow that we got overnight.


She loves it! Wants a scarf, sweater and socks out of this yarn too. We'll see... The pattern was a combination of a free Lion Brand Earflap Hat pattern - for the hat part and earflaps from a Plymouth Baby Alpaca grande freebie hat pattern. I tried the earflaps of the Lion Brand pattern but after doing them 8 times and ripping them out 8 times, decided they didn't work.
