You all are probably familiar with the Relay for Life- if not, Relay celebrates lifeRelay For Life® is an overnight American Cancer Society event that celebrates survivorship and raises money to fight cancer. Teams of people camp out at local high schools or parks and take turns walking around a track that anight is illuminated with thousands of glowing bags, each bearing the name of a cancer survivor or someone lost to the disease. Relay offers special ceremonies for survivors and caregivers, and fun round-the-clock activities to keep participants busy. In 2007, over 6,000 relays will occur across the United States. It is a great way to raise money for the American Cancer Society. My husband, Terry, will be participating along with other hospital employees.
